CHIROPRACTOR
Dr. Mikayla has always felt called to work in the health field, but as she grew older, she realized her view of health didn’t fully align with the traditional medical model. She believed there had to be a better way to help people truly heal — one that focused on finding the root cause of symptoms rather than simply covering them up. Her mission became clear: help people not just survive, but truly thrive.
Originally from Virginia Beach, VA, Dr. Mikayla earned her Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University before moving to Davenport, Iowa with her husband to pursue her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic — the birthplace of chiropractic.
While at Palmer, she was part of the prestigious Troxell Intern Program, an intensive clinical internship focused on mastery of the Gonstead System. Through countless hours of hands-on experience and mentorship from some of the most respected doctors in the field, Dr. Mikayla developed a passion for specific, individualized chiropractic care that focuses on restoring proper nervous system function and helping the body perform at its highest potential. She later served as head intern, refining her skills and deepening her commitment to excellence in patient care.
After graduating from Palmer, Dr. Mikayla moved to Jacksonville, NC to begin serving the community. As both a Navy brat and a mom of two, she has a special place in her heart for supporting military families, pregnant moms, babies, and children. She is especially passionate about helping women find answers in their health journey and empowering families to take a proactive approach to wellness.
Dr. Mikayla has completed additional training in pediatric and perinatal chiropractic care and is Webster Technique certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), allowing her to provide safe, gentle, and effective care for expecting mothers and children.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Mikayla enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, watching Friends, and making memories with her husband, children, and loved ones.
Her goal is simple: to help every patient feel heard, supported, and confident in their health so they can live life fully — not just surviving, but thriving.
